Guards log visitors at the gate, the principal sees who is on campus right now, gets an alert on every arrival, and downloads daily reports as PDF or CSV.
The problem
A college needs to know who comes through its gate. Without a live system, nobody can say who is on campus right now, and the principal hears about visitors only after the fact.
What I built
Campus Visitors replaces the register. Guards log each visitor at the gate on a phone; the principal sees who is on campus in real time, gets an alert on every arrival, and downloads daily reports as PDF or CSV. Access is role-based, so guards and the principal each see only their part.
It is a Progressive Web App built with Node.js, Express and MongoDB, so it installs on the guards’ phones without an app store.
