What it is
Kathalo turns a story idea into a finished short video. You type a prompt, and the platform writes the script, records the voices, generates the visuals and adds captions, in any of 11 Indian languages. It is built mobile-first, because that is where people make and watch short videos.
How it is built
The web app is a white-label product: the name and the prices come from settings that an admin can change, so the same code can launch under another brand. It runs on Next.js and TypeScript, deploys to Cloudflare, and uses Supabase for data.
One staff panel for admins and support: admins can open everything, support staff only see customer and support pages.
Everyone else gets a normal "page not found" for the admin area, so it cannot be discovered.
Staff passwords live as Cloudflare secrets, never in the build; if a password is missing or too short, the panel stays closed.
All design tokens sit in one file, so a rebrand is a settings change, not a rewrite.
